Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Swollen abdomen
Bad news I'm sorry to say, Sue was found to have a 1/2in. dia cyst on her pancreas and a tumour which had infiltrated about 95% of her liver. It was very dark brown almost black in places and only a tiny scrap was normal liver color, it was very fragile and any atttempt to take a biopsy would have resulted in massive bleeding
The vet thinks it was either adencarcinoma or hemangiosarcoma, the vet let me observe the examination and I agreed to her euthanasia at that point.
I am at home now with her companion Sugar and am really distress by this. She sat on my shoulder this morning and gave me loads of ear kisses bfeore we went to the vets.
