Use plain old fashioned artificial tears.

We had a ferret long ago who had a syndrome that paralleled Sjogrens in humans so that affected her eyes, and she came to us as a retired breeder who had had a mounting male bite through an eye during her last breeding. Taking her to her veterinary opthalmologist was much of day spent in travel back and forth because there were not many then. Because one of her problems was an inability to produce tears well she had to have artificial tears many times each day and came to appreciate them. Back then artificial tears were very expensive but now they are very affordable; there are even store brands.

We've had occassions where all three needed something to rinse out their eyes and I wondered what would be good to have on hand and safe enough for ferrets, dogs & cats. Water just doesn't seem to work very well, I feel like we need something different.
