Insulinoma cases tend to vary a decent bit.

Yes, diarrhea does occur with some cases of insulinoma.

Neurological signs tend to usually not show up until a case is more advanced, but it is best to catch insulinoma earlier than that when possible. If you use neurological signs as your springboard the chances of spotting any early cases are very low.

When you said there weren't vet I figured you must be in one of the more isolated areas of the nation. You may still need to travel. We have about an hour's ride to reach our vet in NJ, but there should be a number of vets in CT to help your ferrets. Heck, I can recall a time long ago when we made up a hidden carrier and would use public transit to go into the AMC. Vets who know ferrets can operate, of course.

If you don't hear from anyone who can recommend vets you can reach then remember that the lists of vets all differ so do not use just one or two.

You can also ask shelters, regional clubs, look in magazines, and do Google searches.

There are also listings in the Ferrets Annual or Critters Annual, in that case put in by the vets themselves.
