Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Knot on shoulder and armpit
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

There is a boney junction at the shoulder which is likely what you are feeling. Compare to other ferrets; it's normal.

Nodes in the armpit feel like that and if the size is similar that also is normal. In fact, monitoring nodes in several locations is a basic of ferret health care which everyone should know about from the start. Nodes increase in size with infections and very much so with many cases of lympho. When just one set is up it can point to the region of an infection. Having sets in multiple locations up causes a person to look for something broader.
