Subject: [ferrethealth] distichiasis
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
Hello everyone,
my 5-month-old ferret has been diagnosed as having distichiasis in one of his eyes, what means he has a second file of eye-lashes that rub his cornea all the time. The vet says this is an easy problem to correct surgically in a dog, but he cannot do it in my ferret because his eyelid is so small and thin. Has anyone experience with this problem? Thank you
