Hi,

It's normal for a female ferret to be smaller (considerably so) than
her male counterpart.

Do NOT give fruits as ferrets can not digest them and they may lead
to a fatal intestinal blockage.

You don't mention what food exactly they are eating. There are
numerous ferret diets on the market; no fruits or vege's and a high
protein and fat content are a must.
I have mine on a variety of food: ZooPreem kibble, 8 in 1 High
Protein (45%) Crunchy Kibble and a mixture of boiled dark chicken
meat, fat, cartilage and skin gravy mixed with ground Marshalls
kibble. Many feed a raw diet without ill effects. Ferrets are
carnivores, MEAT only, and water of course.

Any treats you give should be meat based and low in sugars of any form.

Please find a ferret knowledgeable vet and please continue to
converse with the FML and FHL :-)

Leslie
