Dog foods are not balanced properly in multiple nutrients for ferret needs.
It just struck me that the original poster may enjoy one of the articles in the current issue of Ferrets magazine because, although it is about one food maker, it also goes into some info about ferret nutrition. The magazine can be found at many pet stores and places with magazines.
