Bonnie, some gums have a sweetener that can be poisonous for dogs, so
might pose a risk for ferrets.
It is Xylitol

Both have the same per case fee the last time i checked and keep your

In dogs it induces a sudden drop in insulin, so looks like a sudden,
marked onset of insulinoma would. One or two pieces of this gum can
pose a risk for a 20 pound (9.1 kg) dog.
Mustelids are descended from the dog branch in Carnivora.
