Subject: [ferrethealth] Urgent! 13 day old kits-need advice/help
These 2 kits were born weighing between 6 and 8 grams. Since last Friday, 8/4/06, they have weighed 14 grams, not gaining but not losing, either. They and their mother were seen by the vet on that same day, 8/4. The vet says there's nothing wrong with either kits or mom. Mom is taking good care of them and has plenty of milk. The kits are nursing vigorously, pooping and peeing on a regular basis and are very active. We started supplementing them yesterday with newborn kitten replacement milk, but still no change in their weight.
I would really like some advice on how we can get these kits to start gaining weight. We're definitely not ready to give up on them!
