On the Friendly Ferret UK list alone there were more cases than that. Plus=
I have no idea how you would go about getting every vet, who treats an
adrenal ferret, to let you know... Then there's all the vets who think it'=

Cushings and also only a small proportion of ferret owners will take a sick=
ferret to the vets (I know of many people who are too greedy to have a
ferret neutered, let alone pay vet costs if it gets sick...). I think
chances are, if you own a ferret here and have no Internet and/ or are not
savvy on ferret diseases and you present a neutered ferret with adrenal
symptoms, that the average vet will not know what it is and treat the ferre=
t
for skin mites, incomplete neuter etc. So the adrenal cases we hear about
probably don't reflect the real amount of cases.

10 years ago I could not find one UK vet that had seen an Adrenal
ferret, I have been told that last year only 5 UK Adrenal ferrets were
seen by vets. I would like to check this but I'm not sure how to go
about it. Chris
