The medical term for Cushing's syndrome is hyperadrenocorticism. This is
commonly called "adrenal disease" in ferrets. Although this can be seen in
many species of animals, the symptoms can be very different, but they're all
the same thing.

[Moderator's Note: For others who might not know: Ferret adrenal disease is not
hyperadrenocorticism, but instead is hyperhormonal: Adrenal Associated
Endocrinopathy. There is a lot of info in the archives, esp. from AFERRETVET.
