Subject: [ferrethealth] weird, red thing protruding....
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
Just today I noticed something weird in my 6,5 year old female ferret. There is something round, dark bloody red in colour with black spots (looking like tiny blood clots), a bubble like thing protruding from my ferret's vulva. I touched it and it doesn't hurt or bother the ferret; it's more hard than soft in touch. I can see it 1/8 of an inch out of the body, and it's less than 3/4 inch round in radius.
My ferret has adrenal disease, does not take any medications, however for last two months she's been better than ever: gained weight, lots of new hair grew out and she seems to be happier and livelier than before. She seems to be doing excellent.
Anybody has an idea of what that thing might be? I can't find anything about it, either online or in books.
Thanks,
Anya
