Smartgoups with its new owner still has one very delayed server, If mails are sent by e-mail there is the risk of a very protracted time before the post appears for moderation, though shorter delays can happen with web posting.
If you read and write at the website
http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/ferrethealth
the delays can be reduced compared to relying on e-mail or digests.
