Julie,

Yes, that email was me. Thanks for responding.

We've had him on Gerber's Baby Chicken for almost 8 weeks straight now. Even before the original ulcers started, we were giving him Gerber's as a treat, and went full-time when his ulcers were first diagnosed. We've been giving him Ferretone for vitamins since we've had him.

Our Amoxi/Biaxin doses are different that what you give when comparing ml to ml. I wonder if the mixture is different? I mistakenly put 44ml for Amoxi....it's really .44ml Amoxi daily. Wilson hasn't resisted the antibiotics at all....he actually seems to like both of them, so getting him to take them is pretty easy. Do you split them because the ferrets don't like the taste, or for medicine effectiveness?

I'm really beginning to wonder if a blockage is the real culprit. I had thoughts of that initially, but since he was pooping, my vet and I discarded the notion. Since my posting Friday, he's felt substantially better, and the only changes have been the addition of Prenisolone 2xday beginning Thursday, administering some Vaseline daily starting Friday, and more regular poops from him....We went from 1, maybe 2 per day, to 4 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday (so far!).

We're off to another vet on Tuesday, so I'll be sure to raise these ideas to see what she thinks. Hopefully, the setback was temporary and we can finally get his insides sorted out.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

Dale
