Subject: [ferrethealth] Pre-euthanasia - Telazol or Torb?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I hate having to ask this, because it only means one thing for my little one. However, I need to know which is best. The vet I plan to take her to doesn't have or use Telazol but does have Torb. Masking her with Iso was suggested but she has always hated the experience and probably the smell, so I don't want it done that way. There are posts in the archives from vets that prefer to use Telazol, which is why I'm asking if Torb will work just as well.

So, does it matter which one is used and should it be given sub-q or IM? The vet will do a heart stick afterwards, and I don't want her to feel anything.

Hopefully this makes it to the list in time.

Thanks.
