Thanks to everyone who responded both on and off-list to my plea for help. Unfortunately, our trip to the vet yesterday revealed a previously undiagnosed large mass in Wilson, that was pushing his GI-tract and several organs out of their normal locations and causing him his pain. Instead of furthering his suffering to make his humans feel good by having him in our company, we decided to let him pass to end his suffering.
Thanks again for all the assistance. Our home feels empty after being occupied by several ferrets over the course of 9 years, and we miss every single one dearly.
