Ferret lax, laxatone ,etc main ingredient is White petroleum jelly or
petrolatum (same thing). In humans the main side effect if ingested is
possible diarrhea and is generally considered non-toxic- but if vomited and
inhaled into the lungs can cause damage because it is hydrocarbon based.
There are some studies saying the less refined petroleum can have some
carcinogens, That is the yellow, amber ones. The white petroleum jelly is
the one you want.
