Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Bug spray safe for ferrets?
To: <ferrethealth@smartgroups.com>

Sukie,

Thank you so much for finding all the info and resources for us about this =
issue - especially over a holiday weekend. I really appreciate it.

After weighing the risks against the possible benefit, we decided to skip u=
sing the new bug spray inside the house, and concentrate our efforts
on saturating the yard near the area of the house under attack. In the pro=
cess, we located a large fire ant mound actually up against the side of
the house, so we are hopeful that this will eliminate the problem. *finger=
s crossed* We've also moved the ferrets' condo to a table top, giving them=

a little more distance from carpet level to hopefully protect them from har=
m. They seem to be enjoying their new birds-eye view on things. :)

Should we have any future problems, we may try a pyrethrin-based spray, as =
I understand it would be safer for the furkids.

Thanks again for all your help!

ppy to be out playing again
