I know that ferret vet care is at best patchy in the UK and good ones are hard to find but they do exist.
I don't know your location, but if you live near Nottingham I can recommend more than 1 or 2.

Melatonin implants are available by sending a vets prescription to the supplier in the USA. Use the link below.

Bear in mind that melatonin does not work for all ferrets and consider lupron as well.
Also fur may not regrow until normal seasonal changes would occur.
