Subject: [ferrethealth] Can Someone advise?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I'm having trouble with my oldest ferret Jerry. He's 4 1/2 years old and he's been nothing but a bundle of love since the day we got him. Recently, he's been acting sick. It started out with him repeatedly throwing up undigested food, so we took him to the vet. She gave us some medicine (amox+pepto) and said if he's not better, bring him back. Well, he was fine for almost a week, then he started vomiting again. We took him right back to the vet for an x-ray. It showed something in his stomach, but we hadn't fasted him so we weren't sure if it was food or not. He came home again, and was fine again for about a week or so. Now his stool is very loose, to the point it's liquid, and he's so lathargic that he's not moving much. We're taking him back tonight for another x-ray, but I was hoping someone would have some advice on what it could be - other than blockage. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
