Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: CORRECTION IN DOSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Be very careful with dosages when dealing with insulin. 0.1 unit of insulin likely will not have much impact with stabilizing Oliver. We ended up giving 4.0 units 3 times a day (PZI) before I could stabilize Silver. The formulary for the first edition of Ferrets Rabbits and Rodents did not have the right dosage listed. You need to research the right dose to give Oliver and work very closely with your vet.
