Does Metacam come in different strengths?
I keep it on hand. I don't know the strength because I'm not at home to look. The dosage I have been told to use (by my vet) is 0.06/lb. on day one, and then 0.03/lb. after that. It is given once a day. For surgeries, we start it two days in advance, and give it three additional day, five days total.
I would definitely NOT give it without consulting your vet. It can be very easily overdosed.
