Absolutely do NOT give metacam if the ferret is also getting prednisone. That is bad,
bad. The drugs combined can cause all sorts of problems. I don't remember the
details but do know it is not to be done.

[Moderator's Note: according to a past post from Dr. Ruth which is in the archives the
combination is very hard on the stomach, and like Prednisone or Prednisolone, this
med should be given with food.]
