Yes in a compromised ferret sometimes the meds do not travel as quickly to the brain.
I ma sure your ferret was in a coma and did not feel anything... this was one of the BIG
questioins I had before taking my advanced euthanasia techinican course.
Until the heart stopped bneating your ferret was anesthetized equal to a deep sleep
that a surgical patient would be in.
Do not stress, there was no pain and a peaceful passing was realized for the crossing!
