Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Bladder infections?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

In male ferrets adrenal problems can cause the ferrets prostrate
to enlarge which put pressure on the urinary tube, which makes it hard for them to pee.Which means they have to pee more often.
The urine maybe clear, but if looked at closely it may also appear cloudy.
I know this because I have one that is going through it now.
As the condition gets worse the ferret may start to moan when he tries to pee

There is no change in diet or activity but I'm concerned that mabey he has a bladder infection or even kidney problems because his urinating has increased over the last couple days. Please suggest any idea's. Perhaps I'm over acting but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Thanks Melinda
