I just want to thank everyone for their responses to my call for help for my
suddenly sick Li'l Rocky. We did some blood work and it came out fine. No
insolinoma. Wwe did not do xrays that day because he was very weak and we didnt
know if he would survive ar all. My vet gave him sub-q fluids and a shot of
antibiotic and a steroid injection. The next day there wasnt much change and I
left him at the vets. She again gave him the injections and sub-q fluids and did
some more blood work and xrays. He had a bit of pancreatitus and an ulcer that
bled into his stomach. He ate pretty good but not much movement. When he did
move he would bob his head erratically so we both suspected a neurological
problem too. If we could get him a little stronger we were going to work on that
problem too. I took him home that nite, only for him to get worse. He only ate
a little and when I brought him my room to sleep, he started gasping for air
at 2am and he could no longer sit up. He also just wet on himself. We didn't
think he would make the nite, but he did. It was obvious to us, though, he
could no longer go on like this and we helped him across the bridge last Thursday
morning, 9/28/06. I talked to him about it on the way to the vets and told him
to run not walk across the bridge. I told him my Nibbles, who was just helped
across about 6 weeks ago, would meet him along with our Cocogirlie and
Pearlgirlie and Harry Bush Dog.

So many of you were a help with all the emails filled with suggestions and
ideas. I still don't know why he got so sick so suddenly but at least he no
longer suffers. We are all so lucky to have the FML and FHL to turn to when we
need help. RIP my Li'l Rocky!!!! i love you!
