Subject: [ferrethealth] coughing ferret
Hi, I have a 4-4=BD month old ferret patient who has acute onset severe co=
ughing (comes in attacks), which has responded only partially to amoxicilli=
n/clav. Chest X-ray shows marked, diffuse alveolar pattern and a radioopaqu=
e ovoid density cranial to the heart and adjacent to sternum - is this the =
thymus? Can it be seen radiografically on a ferret this age? Are there any =
better meds?
