Subject: [ferrethealth] 6 year old ferret w/ hair loss and skin sores

My 6 year old Albino ferret named Weasel. Weasel has always had problems with rapid weight loss and gain out of no where, but now over the last week or so i have noticed alot of hair loss on his back along with a sore that is red and circular with a blood filled center kind of like a pimple but again blood filled. I put some antibiotic cream that we left from a previous skin sore he had on it yesterday and today it already looks much better. Should I be concerned and should I still take him to the vet? Thank you for your opinion on this matter.
