Subject: [ferrethealth] honky breathing

Last year, my 5 year old neutered jill ferret had a successful adrenal surgery. Recovering at home, we noticed she'd picked up a snuffle which didn't clear up on its own and after 3 weeks she was given a course of baytril which cleared it up.
I live in the UK and my ferrets live outside. Over winter she had the odd 'cold', but these tended to clear up on their own. In spring this year she had another 'cold' that refused to clear up. We tried her on baytril and 2 other antibiotics, but she didn't respond to any of these and she had further investigations including xrays and ultrasounds. She also had surgery to remove a discoloured canine incase that was causing problems. The tests all came back negative and her lungs are reported to be clear. However, depending on the day, she will have rattly breathing and may sneeze v. occasionally heavily in order to clear her nose. Apart from this honky breathing she seems to be a very bright energetic little girl.
Does anyone have any ideas?
