His stomach seems to be getting bigger while his extremities are getting smaller.
Still playful and eating well. BM's seem OK.
Is this part of the aging process of should I take hime to the vet?? Any help please...

It is important that you identify the Belly--

IN some cases enlarged spleens have been described as a big belly. I would suggest
a visit to the vet to check adn see what is big. If it is the spleen that is emnlarged it
could be the cause of lethargy. Enlarged spleens are typically due to a prolonged
low grade infection ( white cells multiply and collect in the spleen causing it to get
large) or it could be from lymphoma.

Spleens which are allowed to get larger adn larger can put pressure on internal
organs adn cause a number of health problems. A cbc to check the red / white cell
counts can easily rule out or in the low grade infection which is easily treatable with
antibiotics.

Sending good wishes your way
