Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: big belly
My ferret, Sue, developed ascites and nothing too obvious could be deduced from blood work. An exploratory op revealed ths her liver was the size of a golf ball ,black in color, full of blood and fragile and was 90%+ hemangiosarcoma, only a small section was still a healthy pink. She was still eating and drinking normally and was very active with no sign of lethargy or fatigue.
Tony, Sugar and Suki
In memory of Sally and Sue.
