Hi,
I'd say it could be any number of things - how often do you bath him? Bathing dries
out their skin and can cause itching. What cleaner did you use to clean the cage and
did you rinse it really well? Could be an allergy. Could be a food allergy - did you feed
him something different. Those are a few of the common things that I can think of but
I'm sure there are other possibilities and this is just my opinion. Unfortunately I don't
know of a cure without checking with a vet if it is an allergy. Good luck
