Probably either an osteoma or an osteosarcoma. I took a ferret from a rescue a couple of years ago who had a rather large osteoma on the top of his head. My regular vet was unable to successfully remove it, so I took him to another vet a couple of hours away. She successfully removed it. I have "before" and "after" pictures if anyone is interested. His was biopsied and was not cancerous (osteosarcoma).
