Subject: [ferrethealth] missing the litterbox and crying
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

To give some background. I have 2 6 year old males, Marshall is a brown sable that
was aggressive last year toward the Cinnamon sable named Malcolm. I then noticed
Marshall was having hair loss. Dr [name removed as per rules] did the surgery to
remove his left adrenal gland and all was fine.

Malcolm had the classic symptoms of insulinoma. He had surgery also to remove
the tumors on his pancreas. His next blood test still showed low blood sugar. He
was put on .3 ml of Diazoxide oral suspension. Still no change. Pediapred was next,
also at .3 ml. His blood sugar jumped 120+ points. Since he has been on .2 of
Diazoxide and .3 of Pediapred.

During the time of Marshall's aggression he would bite Malcolm when his blood
sugar was low and he would cry. Since the surgery and meds it has not been the
case. Which leads me to my current situation.

Marshall is again biting Malcolm and Malcolm is crying again. Malcolm is also, for
the most part, not even trying to go in the litterboxes in the room. His stool is
mainly coming out in little pieces rather than a longer, stacked stool. Malcolm does
not seem to be the spaz he used to be when he was younger.

My question is, is Marshall getting a right adrenal problem or Malcolm taking a turn
for the worse? Or is it something else. Any help is appreciated.
