I'm not a vet. I'm a big believer in meat baby foods. Bonnie has
insulinoma and I give her a half bottle of chichen or turkey #2 Gerbers
baby food mixed with her pediapred. Some ferrets don't recognize the
baby food as food. Just dip a finger-tip in it and put it on his front
lips. He'll quickly get the idea. If he happens to be allergic to
poultry or just doesn't like it, there are other meats in baby food,
lamb, ham, or beef. I would offer food as soon as he is fully awake, a
couple of hours usually.

URA Redneck if you grow flowers in an old toilet in the front yard.
