Could be a number of things but I would test for Cryptococcosis. It is a
fungal infection that they can get and it is treatable so it is worth
checking. This particular fungus is sensitive to a blood titer as a
diagnosis so you don't nec need a biopsy, but a biopsy isn't a bad idea.
