Isn't it usually Carafate, Flagyl & Amoxi for treatment of ulcers? And
I believe the reason you give the Carafate at least one hour before meds
is that it will block the absorption of the meds.

The small poops could have everything to do with feeding the ferret baby
food. I've recently gone through the same thing with one of my ferrets.
He stopped eating all kibble when he got the ulcers and I put him on
baby food. Now he refuses to go back to kibble at all. Since he's been
on baby food, his poops are much smaller and a bit darker (not digested
blood, but darker brown).

Lisa

[Moderator's Note: some more recent approaches to ulcers or to H. mustelae use
Biaxin instead of Flagyl]
