Yes, my vet and I used that once a few years ago. I don't remember why we tried that rather than go with Albon... I think maybe the ferret had kidney failure, and amprolium was supposed to be a little safer than Albon. I don't really remember for sure, though.

I *do* remember, however, how much that ferret hated getting that stuff. We used Corid, a powder form, and made a solution, which I tried hiding in chicken gravy, nutrical, and on and on and on. It was very difficult to disguise the taste, and there was a lot of spitting, clawing, salivating, and general weasel drama. A lot like what you see with flagyl. Ugh. Albon sure goes down a lot more easily than that did, but hopefully you have a more palatable form of amprolium, or a less picky patient.

btw, the dose we used for my weasel was about identical to what you're using. In the end, it worked fine, and the coccidia was cured. I steamed the carpets a few times, etc, etc, too, all the usual coccidia things that are such a pain.
