Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: renal failure with low creatinine levels?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

In ferrets -unlike in other pets- BUN is more important than creatinine. Creatinine is often normal in ferrets with kidney failure. The ulcers, gingivitis, ... are consistent with a diagnosis of renal failure, as they can be caused by azotemia.

I hope your girl can be stabilised quickly!
