Marie-Agnes, if you are going to do the ultrasound, you can probably keep him still using Ferretvite, Nutrical or Ferretone. My ferrets are NEVER sedated for an ultrasound because they will lie very still while licking their treat. It also helps to warm the gel and the paddle first.
