Hair loss from adrenal disease can begin just about anywhere. It can
start on the top of the head, tops of the feet, on the belly, down the
spine, across the shoulders, rump, etc., etc. In other words, anywhere.

I have a peer reviewed article in PDF form from "Exotic Mammal Medicine
and Surgery", by Dr. Jerry Murray, that describes using melatonin
implants for the treatment of adrenal disease. This should satisfy
your vet. I'll send this to you via email since it can't be posted
here.

In another ferret we had surgery done for Adrenal cancer because
of her massive hair loss. The adrenal glands were fine. It turns out
she has Insulinoma NOT adrenal cancer.
