Alan, it sounds like there is more going on than ulcers, though certainly the black tarry stools
say that partially digested blood is prominent in the feces.
Has Carafate been started (at different times from medications or food) to bandage the
stomach.
Has GI tract perforation by an ingested foreign body or something else been considered?
Has he been imaged or had blood tests such as a CBC and Chemistry Panel?
