Subject: [ferrethealth] emergency

I adopted two ferrets a month and a half ago. I am a newbie ferret
owner. I had been told they are girls. I named them Thelma and Louise.
Tonight, I noticed Louise was acting odd. When I picked her up I
realised she is dehydrated,maybe severely so. Is canned cat safe to
give her to help quickly rehydrate her. She is weak, but very strong in
sprit. I have her in my lap in a wrapped in a towel. I read honey was a
good source for electrolytes, but she whiffed at the spoon with the
glop of honey and refused. She is lapping the canned food greedily. It
is now 12:40am in Ct. Anybody up now to help????
