Thank you for sharing your experience.

The previous owner had taken this ferret to the vet after noticing
discoloration around her vulva. That vet (who also said her bottom
teeth were fine, when they were in fact abscess and she had a large
bump on her chin) took a urine sample directly from her bladder with a
needle. The results showed there was no blood or infection, so the vet
diagnosed her with "scaling" and said the discoloration was just dead
skin. He said to clean the vulva area and apply neosporin. I beleive
that was back in April.

Since we don't think there is any blood in the bladder but there is
blood in her "outside" urine, it's picking up blood somewhere. I
suspected it wasn't just in her urine since her urine looks normal
(can't see any blood in it), but there is dried blood around her
vulva. She must be passing small amounts of blood even when she isn't
urinating.

Did you ever do explorative surgery? If so, did you see any tumors at
the time?

Thanks
