No, we never pursued exploratory surgery for this with Sonic. The
bloody urine showed up her near the end of her life; she was eight and
had a bunch of really bad problems by that time. We didn't think she
would survive surgery, and we also didn't know if anything we found in
that area would really be operable anyway.

However, she didn't have dried blood around her vulva like your girl,
so we're probably dealing with different problems. With Sonic, it
presented purely as brown urine and in the later stages, some
discomfort when peeing. The tumor was still a surprise; after we put
her to sleep, my vet was really shocked to find that thing in there.

Good luck with your girl, and keep the list posted on this very
interesting case!
