I've got the Freestyle Mini (I think it's got a different name in America
but it is the world's smallest BG meter and uses the world's smallest blood
sample) and I phoned the makers of it (Abbott Laboratories) and asked
whether the meter was calibrated to run lower than the actual BG value but
they said it wasn't so it reads the actual BG value.
