Environment, air or the ground or floor, can cause cold feet if it cold enough through heat transfer. Poor circulation can cause cold feet, this could indicate a problem with either the cardiopulminary system or blocked arteries, or other problem with blood vessels.

I suspect it's a reaction to being outside on cold ground or floors, but a heart problem is not one to ignore.

Many humans with asthma will relate to this, I suspect, because our extremities can become
cold when our breathing is too impinged upon.

Any ferret with chest symptoms like wheezing should have the chest imaged. Please, let your
friend know, Uli!
