Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferrets with diarrhea and digestive problems

I've used slippery elm on my ferrets. It worked very well and the
ferrets seemed to like the taste (or at least it wasn't offensive to
them).

I am in no way an expert on ferrets, but have been told by other ferret
groups about using Slippery Elm Bark Powder for digestive problems.
There are some web sites out there for herbal animal care. I found the
slippery elm bark powder on www.nutritiongeeks.com I am awaiting its
arrival. Stacy is doing much better now that she is eating cat food,
and is more energetic, but I am still keeping the powder in case of
future problems
