Subject: [ferrethealth] Blood in stool
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I've tried to do some searching on this subject, but so far have not
come up with anything conclusive.
This evening my 5 year old fuzzybutt had two really bloody stools.
I'm not talking dark red, it was bright red and a tad watery. She's
been acting normal and played with her cagemate like she normally
does. I know she's getting up there in age, and the only real change
we've noticed recently is just fatigue. After she passed the stools I
picked her up and palpatated her body. She showed no signs of any
discomfort. None.. not a peep, or a cringe. She just sat there like
she always does.
What would cause a seemingly healthy ferret to suddenly have bloody stool?
