Subject: RE: [ferrethealth] ferret with extremely large abdominal tumor
Everyone,
Thank you so much for all the help.
I live in Southeastern CT. My first choice for a vet is in Somerstown,
RI and my next choice would be in Farmington, CT. They are both
approximately an hour away.
She is just on pred and I do occasionally give her carafate when her
stomach seems to bother her.
Someone mentioned a blockage. Since I've never had a blocked ferret,
does anyone agree? To me it sounds like a possibility. However the vet
says it feels like it's on her pancreas, The mass is flat in some areas.
This morning she didn't want her totally ferret so I gave her some Pro
Plan which she did eat. She is still readily drinking ferretone but is
really fighting me with the water. Since I don't want to rupture her, I
am not forcing too much into her just whatever I can get into her. even
if it's only a drop.
She has really lost a lot of weight So much so I can feel a lot of
bones. Although she is sleeping a lot when I took her to another areaof
the house she did perk up and went exploring for about 5-10 minutes
before getting tired
Thank you,
Sheryl
